  • In my opinion if you're going to overindulge during the holidays, overindulge on love!

In our society today from the moment we are born we are raised to associate holiday traditions with certain foods. For a lot of us those foods are how we continue to bond with our families as we get older, and usually we couldn't imagine giving them up ever.
However after switching over to a plant based diet 2 years ago and coming home for the holidays I realized that it didn't matter if I ate the same things my family did anymore, all that mattered to me was that I was around them.

Honestly I never felt like I was lacking anything because even though certain foods can bring back some great memories, I felt my heart fuller then ever before because I was completely present rather than just focused on the meal.

One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions growing up was watching the movie Planes, Trains, and Automobiles with my dad and brothers in the morning on that day, and I will carry that joyful memory closer with me than any satisfaction food can now give me.

Lastly, it's very simple and healthier to veganize any Thanksgiving side dish so let me know if any of you need any recipes. Happy Thanksgiving to all! - 📷 by @edpixel__photography
  • My holiday smile is in full effect via @vogueknittingmagazine 😊. So with Thanksgiving in just a few days and Christmas a full month out it has me really channeling the gratitude. Even though I encounter bad days every now and then just like everyone else there are so many things that I’m thankful for in my life all year round such as my family, my health, my career, and just my overall mindset. However one of the things I’m most thankful for is pushing past the roadblocks I’ve encountered in my life and reaching this point where I can now use knowledge and my experiences to help others out. Honestly it’s the number one thing that motivates me each day to get out of bed and continue along my growth journey.
So with that being said to officially kick off the holiday season I will be offering 1 call a day over the next 30 days to anyone who is looking to gain knowledge / make positive changes to their lives.

Whether you just want to start making healthier choices to your diet, get physically more fit, gain more confidence, switch to a plant based diet, become more mindful, start that business you’ve been putting off for years, become more eco conscious, learn how to get into the modeling / acting industry, or you just are seeking a connection and want someone to listen to you, I would love to chat with you!

Just shoot me a DM and we can arrange a time that works best! Let’s turn the holiday smiles you have into year round smiles 😉 #givingback #givingisliving
  • The look I give when I’m trying to read an informative article, but then someone steals my attention away just by saying the two magical words “vegan cookies”🍪. Although this is a pretty accurate statement, I just wanted to remind you guys today as we go into this new week of opportunity that if you keep doing the same actions then you will keep yielding the same results. Whether it is thinking a certain way, or not having self control when it comes to choices you make (like getting distracted over cookies), or just not challenging yourself to try to learn & do something new, these are all things that can keep you stuck in a repetitive circle ⭕️. Now I understand this can be overwhelming to look at as a whole, but I feel a good way to start to break out of the cycle is to just evaluate one area of your life where you doing something because it’s easier or because you are comfortable and just starting there. Since I came back from Florida I noticed myself staying inside more because of the cold, which lead me to just overall being lazier like not going outside in the morning and then throwing on more shows to watch rather than reading or writing like I was doing before. So today when I woke up I decided to jolt myself out of this comfortable state and went out into the cold for some morning sunrise yoga🧘🏻‍♂️ . Now even though I don’t think this isn’t going to solve everything, it was a nice mental win to break the repetitive circle of comfort, and I believe it has already carried over into other areas of my life, leading me to create this post which I’d been slacking on lately. Lastly, keep in mind that just because you are moving doesn’t mean you are progressing, so set a plan today to switch things up a bit and you might just realize a simple change to challenge yourself in a new way is what was holding you back from the result you were looking for 👊 #openyourmindtodifferent #switchitup #myfittesthour
  • When I’m not out saving the planet I do some modeling from time to time 😉. So today I had an experience in the modeling industry that I could have easily let negativity affect the way I thought about myself, but instead I didn’t give it that control over me (swipe 👈to listen to my full story). To sum it up for you let me just say this…..please do not let anyone ever determine if you are good enough by the way you look, and please do not let a specific image of what “society’s standard” be the standard you set for yourself! Set your own standard, strive to be the best YOU, love yourself and all of your flaws, and lastly love and take care of the body your’re in because it’s going to take you far in life not just by how it looks on the outside, but if you treat the inside properly! #strengthenyourmind #bodypositivity 👊 - 📷 by @pixfoxstudio
  • It’s hard to believe that it’s been two whole years now since I lost my best friend Tiger. Although this will always be a very sad day to look back on especially since it was very unexpected, I will still always remember all of the smiles he provided me and everyone else that he encountered. He wasn’t just a pet, he was a gift from God that filled my world with more love, happiness, and chaos than I could have ever imagined. He truly was an angel in the form of a big ass goofy dog that helped me grow into the man I now am. It’s often easy to get caught up in ride of life where we forget to slow down to enjoy what we have in front of us right now so I suggest taking the time today to give your pet an extra hug because life is short and their lives are even shorter. If you don’t have a pet, it’s never a bad time to just slow down to give a loved one a call or just do something that makes you smile. Personally I will use this memory as a reminder to stop making things so difficult and to enjoy the simple things. Thank you Tiger for all of the memories, blessings, and lessons you continue to teach me! #modelingduo #animalsarefamily
  • When it comes to transforming your body I always tell people to focus on the bigger piece of the pie which is your diet 🌱. I’m not saying not to workout ever, but in order to really make a major impact you need to shift your focus on what matters most (aka what you put in your body and how much of it). Last night when I attended a @womenpowerourplanet event I had that same “aha” moment when I learned about how our banks are creating the most damage in regards to climate change 🌎 because they are the ones propping up the fossil fuel industry by continuing to finance destructive projects that harm our planet🙈. Now being vegan and living a sustainable lifestyle is great in itself because it’s making a positive impact, but fossil fuels are the leading cause to climate change by a long shot. It’s the biggest piece of the pie because almost all of our major economic sectors depend on it (transportation, electricity & heat production, and industry). The thing is that we no longer need fossil fuels to power these sectors anymore because we now have alternative forms of energy like solar, wind, and water so having our money in the hands of banks that prop up the fossil fuel industry is only helping prevent major change from happening.
Well as we all know money 💰 is power, so if we can start divesting our money away from banks that support fossil fuels and into ones that are for renewable energy, land preservation and ocean-cleanups (like @amalgamated_bank for instance) we can start taking control of the biggest piece of the pie that controls our planets future!

Now the last thing I want to do is get on the phone and waste my time just to close my account, but I think about it this way…..what’s the point of having a bank account if we don’t have a planet to live on 🤷🏻‍♂️. Plus in reality this is the simplest way to create the most impact and if I’m all about doing that with the health of my body then I’m all about that with the health of the planet 👊. #divest #thepowerisours - 📷 by @braddonpictures
  • Grateful to be alive! As we spend time today remembering those lost in the tragedy of 9/11 🇺🇸 I believe it’s a perfect time to reflect on what makes you feel alive and start doing more of it. If this day can teach us anything it’s that nothing is for certain and we really don’t know what can happen at any particular moment so why not live your life with that in mind. Stop playing it safe, and start taking risks. Tell the people you love that you love them, do the things you’ve been putting off because you don’t think it’s the “right time”, and just channel more joy into your life as much as you possibly can. You hold the power and the only time you have for sure is the present. I kept this thought in mind when I finally decided to book my trip up to Maine on labor day weekend for some camping and hiking. Now even though hiking brings me joy and I’d been wanting to go up to Maine all summer, I just kept putting it off and would never make any set plans in case something else came along like a job for instance. The thing is as summer crept closer to a close I realized that if I don’t go now before it gets way too cold I’ll probably have to wait until next year. Well at that moment it made me think what if there is no next year and the following day I made set plans to go. Although it was a lot of effort and travel just to get there, finally being up on top of this peak with this view and breathing in the fresh mountain air it made me feel truly alive. Not only that but I got to be one with nature in my forrest green, sustainably made, super comfy hoodie from @wearsoftwear 🌱. (Honestly this thing was a life saver the whole trip because I would have froze my ass off on the bus and sleeping outside without it). Ok so to finish things off the moral of my story is just stop waiting for the right time to go after what you want or to make positive changes to your life because there is no right time and you may just run out of time before you know it! #neverforget #thetimeisnow #wearyourvalues
  • Who’s down for some all natural hot yoga outside today ☀️. Well with temperatures soaring to 100 here today it’s definitely not a bad option, but an even better one when you are doing it on a sustainable yoga mat 🧘🏻‍♂️. If you didn’t know most yoga mats are made out of PVC, which is a toxic plastic used in yoga mats because it is cheap and sticky, and not only are these mats non recyclable and don’t biodegrade, but many of the toxic chemicals found in these mats have been known to leach their way into the ground and into water systems, polluting them and affecting our health👎. Pretty crazy to think that this all can happen just from an activity that is good for the mind and body! Fortunately it doesn’t have to be that way, and I found a company @mandukayoga that is doing our health and the environment right, creating a mat from sustainably harvested tree rubber👍. Now there is a few companies creating these types of mats, but the foaming agents used to create Manduka’s eKO mat are non-toxic which means no chemicals have gone into the manufacturing process to soften the rubber🌎. Also instead of using synthetic polyester for reinforcement, they have chosen to use a blend of polyester and natural cotton. All pretty awesome stuff if you ask me! I purchased this mat over a month ago after moving into my new apartment and after using it everyday I can honestly say that it’s the best mat I’ve used in terms of grip, no yoga mat towel made of polyester necessary 🙌. Now if all those features weren’t great enough, another bonus is that it is thin enough to fold up and put in a bag to take with me wherever I travel to, like this awesome spot in the catskill mountains @healingwatersfarm ⛰. Overall this may is definitely a win for the planet, and moving forward we can use many more wins like this or we can just expect more and more heat waves due to climate change! Stay cool out there today and #purchasewithpurpose 😉 - 📷 by @ivy_yin_
